INTRODUCTION
Dopamine (DA) in the mesocorticolimbic system is thought
to tune attributes of rewarding stimuli by encoding the value
of a reward, creating incentive salience for reward, enhancing
associative learning of the reward context, and
determining the predictability of a reward (Gonzales et al,
2004; Koob, 2006; Robinson and Berridge, 2000; Schultz,
2002).
